Scroll down and tap General. Tap About. Scroll to the bottom and look for Carrier Lock. If it says No SIM restrictions, then your iPhone is unlocked and you're free to use any carrier or cell service.

Unlike AT&T, which is making this transition in 2022, T-Mobile has a much more aggressive timeline. The wireless carrier plans to phase out all non-VoLTE phones (iPhone 5s and earlier, any Android phone made before 2012) as soon as January 2021.
