Everything happens in the background and you don't need to worry about it till you actually need to undo/redo what you wrote. In that case, tap the floating icon and Inputting+ shows up as a pop-up window. Undo and Redo: Tap the Undo or Redo arrows to find the text you had recently typed.
To undo a message that you sent, simply swipe down from the top-right corner of the iPhone's screen to bring up Control Center and quickly enable Airplane Mode on most iPhones or iPads.
Open Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Touch ➔ Shake to Undo - You can turn that ON. Note that it is NOT going to undo the action for any text that is deleted in the text box. It is a general Undo command that works where applicable. Axel F.

Step 1: Open Messages App on your iPhone. Step 2: Open a conversation and find the message you'd like to delete. Step 3: Hold and press the message you'd like to delete and choose More. Step 4: Click the Trash icon and choose Delete Message to remove the message.
