How to lock the screen while watching Netflix

This feature also helps in avoiding misclicks and prevents you from accidentally pausing or skipping the playback. Keep in mind that you'll need to tap on the lock icon twice to unlock the screen and get back those playback controls again.
The lock setting is available on Android devices, iPhones, and iPads. To lock the screen while watching Netflix on your mobile device: Tap on a TV show or movie while it is playing. Tap the lock icon to lock or unlock your screen.
You will have to click on the recorder button and then pull down the toolbar. You would notice a red light on top of the screen in the notification bar showing screen recording time. Once you notice that your iPhone has started screen recording, you can easily click on the play button of your Netflix content.
How to Use Split View on an iPad (AKA Split Screen)
Tap Settings. Tap General. Tap Auto-Lock.
To enable, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access. Then once you need the function, triple tap the home button, set a code that will allow you to unlock the screen, choose the screen area that should be locked and enjoy!
If you prefer to use the side switch as a mute button, you can lock your iPad's screen orientation by holding the iPad in either landscape or portrait orientation, swiping up to open Control Center, and selecting the Orientation Lock icon.

Once you are in Netflix, triple click the home button. Enter the password that you previously created. Once the password is entered you will be able to disable portions of the screen by outlining them. It's also possible to disable the whole screen to lock them to a specific show.
Using a compatible iPad, the video will automatically shrink into thumbnail mode when you hit the home button or switch to a different app. From there, you can pinch to adjust the size of the viewing window or drag it around to reposition it on the screen.

Pull down Control Center from the top right. Make sure your iPad is in the orientation you'd like it to be locked in. Underneath the system functions (Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc)., tap on the rotation lock icon (padlock with a circular arrow around it).
